Trade Information

A radiator (also called water tank) is the core heat-exchanger component of a diesel engine's forced-circulation cooling system, responsible for dissipating the heat absorbed by the coolant from the engine into the atmosphere via air heat exchange to maintain the machine's thermal balance. An internal-combustion engine cooling system typically consists of the radiator, water pump, fan, upper/lower coolant hoses, water jackets, and thermostat; the radiator's role is to cool the engine's high-temperature water and the transmission's high-temperature hydraulic fluid, transferring the heat absorbed from the water jackets into the air through heat exchange.

Construction-machinery radiators come in several structural forms, which must be clarified before ordering and replacing:

  • All-copper core frame bolt-type radiator: Sturdy structure, multiple anti-vibration measures, strong corrosion resistance and reliability; commonly used on loaders, excavators, road rollers, bulldozers, etc.

  • All-aluminum combined water/oil-cooler/intercooler assembly: Plate-fin structure, produced via high-frequency vacuum brazing furnace welding, corrosion-resistant and anti-scaling, with argon-arc welding or bolt connection between components—compact, aesthetically pleasing, and highly reliable.

  • Copper-tube rubber-sleeve-connected radiator: The copper tube head uses an aging-resistant rubber sleeve to connect with the main board; the frame structure is anti-scaling, resistant to high-pressure flushing, highly reliable, and convenient for tube replacement; mostly used on bulldozers.

  • Straight-row tube-fin copper/aluminum core radiator: Strong dust-penetration capability, bolt-type connection, strong anti-vibration ability, resistant to high-pressure flushing, highly reliable; mostly used on tractors, harvesters, and other agricultural machinery.
