Purpose


The mining flameproof and intrinsically safe vacuum electromagnetic starter (hereinafter referred to as the "starter") is suitable for use in underground coal mines and other environments where explosive gases (methane mixtures) may be present in the surrounding atmosphere. It is used for starting and stopping three‑phase squirrel‑cage induction motors driving equipment such as water pumps, belt conveyors, and winches in AC 50Hz power systems with voltages of 1140V and 660V, where the neutral point is ungrounded.


The starter provides comprehensive protection functions including short‑circuit, overcurrent, overload, earth leakage protection, earth leakage lockout, undervoltage, overvoltage, three‑phase imbalance, gas protection, and wind‑power interlock. The product also features measurement capabilities for three‑phase AC voltage, AC current, zero‑sequence voltage, zero‑sequence current, three‑phase power, and electrical energy, as well as a remote earth leakage test function.

(1) Intelligent Setting

The intelligent electromagnetic starter is equipped with a low‑voltage intelligent protection device, featuring precise earth leakage protection to effectively prevent cascade tripping caused by earth leakage faults. In addition, with the integration of a smart setting system, the starter enables intelligent parameter setting — including one‑key setting, automatic rationality verification, and adaptive adjustment to load changes. This thoroughly solves the problem of parameter setting in coal mines, fully replacing the complex and tedious manual setting work of specialized personnel, ensuring settings are accurate and reasonable, and eliminating safety hazards caused by unscheduled or large‑scale power outages due to improper settings.

(2) Remote Earth Leakage Test

The intelligent electromagnetic starter integrates a remote earth leakage test device, which allows remote control of the starter and grounding of the test resistor within the remote test device. It automatically performs the earth leakage test for branch feeders, restores power automatically, and generates test reports — eliminating the issues of "skipping tests" or "false testing" in remote leakage tests. Test personnel do not need to go underground, reducing labor intensity and improving test efficiency. This system requires no additional external test equipment.

(3) Remote Intelligent Monitoring

Equipped with remote intelligent monitoring capabilities, including "four‑remote" functions (telemetry, remote signaling, remote control, and remote adjustment), it fills the gap in the intelligent construction of low‑voltage distribution equipment at mining power distribution points and working faces.

(4) Precision Metering

Real‑time monitoring of voltage, current, and power factor for each phase of three‑phase motors, with calculation of instantaneous and cumulative electrical energy consumption for optimized energy efficiency.

(5) Automatic Water Supply

Features remote monitoring and automatic water level control functions. Through remote monitoring of the water intake system, it enables unattended operation of the main mine drainage system, and can also achieve unattended operation of submersible pumps underground.
