Basalt fiber‑reinforced polymer (BFRP) rock bolt is a high‑performance fiber‑reinforced polymer anchor rod made from natural basalt ore, which is melted at high temperature and drawn into fibers, then combined with a high‑performance resin matrix through a pultrusion process. It is a new type of tensile member in geotechnical engineering, designed to replace traditional metal rock bolts and earlier glass fiber rock bolts.
